DIY Home Information Packs

Although there has been much talk of the DIY home information pack, it seems very unlikely that such a solution will ever be offered.

Sites like eBay have shown some DIY HIP's, although we have never seen one, and they appear suspect, proceed with caution!

Speculation has been high, considering the deregulation of so many other aspects of . There may be ways of cutting the costs by carrying out some of the many searches yourself, but the home inspection, itself is highly regulated.

The regulations regarding the qualification of the home inspectors appears to have ruled out anyone that is not home information pack trained by HM Government.

However, as always we will keep our ears to the ground for any pilot schemes, and report back to our readership, if anything does ever come of it.
