Home Information Pack Exclusions

We must sell our homes using the new HIP.

There are always a few exceptions to the rule, but very few will slip through the Home Information Pack net.

Many people will want to find a way to market their properties without using a home information pack, but the new regulations compel all house sellers in England and Wales to use the new system.

Buying a new property

Buying a brand new home, will involve a home information pack, provided by the developers.

The pack will not need to contain a home condition report, if the property is marketed off plan, and offers a warranty, off plan means not yet built, you buy from the plans of the developer.

A new home that is built complete, must provide a full pack.

All other aspects of the HIP must be provided by the developer.
